This is my grad year as you know, so they are getting us to submit a letter or pictures/drawings for a time capsule to be opened ten years from now. How exciting is that?! I can't wait hahaha!

anyway, this is what I wrote:
Dear future me,
I hope you have achieved everything I hoped I would have achieved ten years from now.
Recently, I watched a film called "HOME," that my teacher Mrs. Vasiliu showed to my class. It's about global warming, deforestation and the rapid depletion of earthwater, etc, etc... and all the ways human beings are hurting the planet, just by trying to survive. I really hope that my future self will have done something, or is about to do /something/ to make a difference to our earth, the only planet known to sustain life. It has given birth to us, and we are destroying it. Maybe I'm thinking a bit too deeply on the subject. It's not like I'm planning on becoming a research scientist or anything, but hopefully one day at least once will I have done something good for our planet. That is my dream.

Some things I am thankful for include: music, culture, language, diversity, civilization, nature, friendship and most of all, art. I am grateful for the respect that I receive and that I give, and the smiles and moments I cherish. I wish never to forget them. I will look back at this in ten years and think back on my life and all I have done, all the people I've known and all the memories I've made.
Another goal of mine is to try hard to have a positive outlook on life in order to live it to the fullest. I want to smile at least twice every day. Happiness is not attainable without a bit of work! I will work hard and stay busy, and things will undoubtedly go my way.
I remember not too long ago when the guy I like gave me a necklace. I hope the future me still has it. I am also remembering my trips to Ontario a few years ago, the brilliant summers, my first time driving all the way to Chilliwack, and the first two concerts that I've been to. There's a lot more that's happened to me, but I'm trying to keep it short and sweet. There's so much to say about how thankful I am for all of my teachers, including my parents, friends and old babysitter, who taught me the proper way to fold laundry (the same method I still use today and forever)
I'll never forget any of you. My love runs deep, and with this, life begins...
Love it!

(the ending sucks..haha...tell me what you think??)
